Closing thoughts
While all shotguns are only really suitable for close range combat, the Sawed-Off takes this to another level, requiring that you are extremely close to the target. However, in return you gain high armour penetration and damage at a cheap price that is capable of killing with a single shot to the chest even through armour.
As the only automatic shotgun the XM1014 - sometimes affectionately called the "auto-shotty" - can make light work of multiple opponents in close encounters and quickly net the player money with its $900 kill reward. This can easily be the strongest weapon option when used from the right position.
